L’Union des Intérêts de la Place Financière Lémanique translates to English as the Union of Financial Intermediaries of the Lake Leman region.

The UIPF is a non-profit organization presided by Mrs Fabienne Gautier, business owner.

The committee is composed of 12 members stemming from a diverse section of businesses in the Geneva and Vaud region

The general assembly takes place once a year.

The mission of UIPF is to inform its members and the public of the challenges and issues facing the financial sector in the Lake Leman region.

The main objectives are:

  1. Support the financial community, which is vital to the lake Leman region and much-envied region among foreign competitors. The purpose is to emphasise the sectors impact on employment, consumption and quality of life in the region.
  2. As well as communicating to its members and the larger public role which UIPF plays in the public finances and the financing of the social state. The financial sector alone represents 59.5 % of the corporate tax receipts for the town of Geneva and 39.2 % of all taxes for the Canton.
